According to BelaPAN, thanks to another initiative of public association “Belarusian Language Society” customs posts will be furnished with forms of passenger tax statements in the Belarusian language.

Citizen of Belarus Accused of Vandalising Belarusian Embassy in Moscow | Uładzisłaŭ Biełavusaŭ | 08.07.2006

On July, 10 Basmany court of Moscow starts the investigation of the case of a Belarusian citizen Juraś Ivaniukovič accused of “vandalism, i.e. violating buildings and other constructions”. On May, 9 he wrote using a felt-tip “Žyvie Biełaruś (Long Lives Belarus)” and “BT chłusić (Belarusian Television lies)” on the plates situated on the wall of the embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Russia. The inscriptions were immediately wiped out and Ivaniukovič was arrested.

In order to ameliorate the regulation of taxation sphere, safeguard the rights of juridical and physical persons, secure that they execute their obligations and with a view of protecting the interests of state in the sphere of taxation the president of the Republic of Belarus signed an edict ¹419 of June, 30 2006 “On additional measures to regulate the relations in taxation sphere”.

Russia: Law Draft to Restrict the Advertisement of Sex Services and Erotic TV Programmes | Hanna Žarabcova | 06.07.2006

A law draft is introduced into the Russian Duma, initiating alterations and additions into Russian laws “On Advertising” and “On Mass Media”. According to the law draft limitations are to be imposed on the advertisement of sexual services and erotic TV programmes.

Russian State Duma adopted in the third reading a law, in accordance with which the deputies are forbidden to change their party membership. With a necessary quorum of 226, 378 deputies voted for the law with only 57 legislators opposing the bill.

On July, 1 2006 an updated version of a law “On copyright” came into force in Estonia.
