At a five-day referendum, lasting from February, 11th to 15th, the citizens of Tokelau Islands voted for remaining under the protectorate of New Zealand. Thus, according to UN representatives, Tokelau Islands remain one of 16 non-self-governing territories, along with Gibraltar and Western Sahara.

On January, 7 2006 the President of the Republic of Belarus signed the Edict ¹80, which laid down new rules of entering higher and specialised secondary educational establishments of the country. As usual, the rules are sole and obligatory for all the establishments regardless of their form of property and regulate almost all the stages of entering Belarusian universities.
