Russian E-Shops to Get Legal | Taciana Kulašova | 25.10.2006 The head of the Chamber of Commerce of Russia stated that in order to enter WTO the country had to close “pirate” e-shop AllOfMP3.com which “is robbing American sound-recording companies”. According to the representative of the American Chamber of Commerce Susan Schwab, Russia cannot become a WTO member as long as it hosts an internet-site outwardly ignoring the legislation on intellectual property. October, 24th, UN Birthday | Alaksandra Rahažynskaja | 24.10.2006 On October, 24th the whole world celebrates the Day of UNO. It is exactly on the day 61 years ago the UN Charter came into force. On this occasion UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan stated the organisation’s success in promoting development, security and human rights as well as some failures, namely in the sphere of nuclear non-proliferation, fighting terror and bridging the gap between the rich and the poor.
