Alterations into the Ruling on the Conformance of Names of Commercial and Non-commercial Organisations | Hanna Žarabcova

The enactment of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus ¹36 of June, 28 2006 introduces alterations and additions into the Ruling on the conformance of names of commercial and non-commercial organisations.

In accordance with the alterations introduced a contracted name of an organisation is a non-official name of a juridical person determined by its founders (grounders, proprietors) provided the name is compound and contains several words. The contracted name is utilized to simplify the relations of the parties in a civil procedure. Republican unitary and commercial enterprises are allowed to use the term “state enterprise” in advertising, correspondence, analytical reports, tables, notes, schemes etc.

While utilising the term “state enterprise” (“unitary enterprise”) in advertising, provided a full official name is omitted, a unitary enterprise is to present its identification code of the juridical person, i.e. the registration number of the juridical person in a Single State Registrar of juridical persons and private proprietors.

The enactment of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus ¹36 of June, 28 2006 comes into force on the day of its official publishing.
