The law of the Republic of Belarus of June, 29 2006 №163-3 introduces alterations and additions into several codes of the Republic of Belarus. The novelties deal with realtor activity.

The additions are introduced into the article 733 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus titled “contract of rendering payable service”. In accordance with the alterations introduced the rules of chapter 39 of the Civil Code “rendering payable service” will also be applicable to realtor service.

Besides, the Code of Administrative Offence of 24.04.2003 which is not yet in power is supplies with a new article 12.36 “non-fulfilment or partial fulfilment of the rules of realtor activity”. The article 12.36 defines an offence and the responsibility in a following way: the non-fulfilment or partial fulfilment by realtor organisation or its employees of the rules of providing realtor service entail a fine of 10 to 30 base values, for a juridical person the sum is 30 to 100 base values.
