A law draft is introduced into the Russian Duma, initiating alterations and additions into Russian laws “On Advertising” and “On Mass Media”. According to the law draft limitations are to be imposed on the advertisement of sexual services and erotic TV programmes.

The law draft restricts advertising sexual services including erotic pictures for mobile phones, erotic SMS-chats as well as phone sex on youth channels. The rotation of such ads will be allowed solely on the TV channels with coded signal which are, as a rule, not free and in printed media of erotic contents.

The draft also puts limitations on “on air” erotic programmes. Such programmes are supposed to be reserved for chargeable encoded channels.
