The Federal Court of the United States of America has issued its preliminary consent for the settlement of the advertisers’ suit against Yahoo! concerning the click fraud scandal.
The actual suit related to the overstatement of on-line advertisement clicks in early 2004 was initiated by Checkmate Strategic Group, which decided to settle the conflict in a peaceful way, i.e. through amicable agreement. The agreement presumes that Yahoo! is to disburse to the advertisers almost 5 million dollars for the fraud.
