On May, 29 2006 a presentation of an e-ticket was organised at Leningrad railway station in Moscow. OJS “Russian Railways” introduced the ticket as an example of drawing railway tickets via Internet.

So far one may draw an “e-ticket” only for October Railways trains, though from 2007 all the passengers will receive access to the service. Besides, it is planned to extend the “e-ticket” system to air carriers.
