Corruption fight in Kyrgyzstan’s legal system | Hanna Žarabcova

The members of an economic forum in Kyrgyzstan “Let us See the Obstacles to Business” mentioned corruption, in legal system inclusive, and legal basis imperfection as one of the gravest problems to the development of business in the country.

In accordance with the statistical data, voiced at the forum, about 90% of private proprietors, making business in Kyrgyzstan, are certain that their capitals are not safe and have encountered the facts of intrusion and attempts of state officials trying to put pressure on business.

The Prime-Minister of the country Felix Kulov suggested inviting foreign judges as a way to fight corruption in Kyrgyz judicial system. The example cited by the Prime-Minister was that of Georgia, where, according to Kulov, the government decided to invite 300 judges from Sweden in an attempt to fight corruption.
