On April, 4 2006 the President of the Republic of Belarus signed an edict №201 “On exempting from income tax all the incomes gained by physical persons in the form of interest on bank stock”.    

In accordance with the adopted document the number of banks, whose obligation holders are exempt from income tax, is extended. Thus, the Savings Bank “Belarusbank”, whose creditors were exempted from income tax in 2005, is joined by Joint Stock Commercial Agro-industrial Bank “Belagraprambank”, SB “Belprambudbank”, SB “Belarusian bank of development and reconstruction "Belinvestbank”.
