On October 4, 2005 the President of the Republic of Belarus signed an Edict ¹470 “On the alterations and additions to the Edict ¹98 of the President of the Republic of Belarus of February 18, 2005”.

The document stated stipulates for the new procedure of child rehabilitation abroad. The document lays down that only the students of 1 to 4 classes of 12-year secondary schools are eligible for abroad trips more than 15 days in duration. The rehabilitation abroad of the organised groups of children does not provide for studying.

The edict also determines the new procedure of informing about the non-return cases. According to it, the organisations, responsible for the trips are to provide information about such cases within a day’s term. The bodies to be informed are the Department on Humanitarian Activity of the President’s Administration and the corresponding ministries.
